F1 driver hits Tadej Pogacar with strange question during BBC radio show

Tadej Pogacar suddenly appeared on 'Radio 1 Breakfast' Wednesday morning, a popular BBC radio show. F1 driver Oliver Bearman was a guest in the studio and decided to call the cycling world champion for a game called 'Sit Down Stand Up!'.

In 'Sit Down Stand Up!' the guest has to call famous contacts from their phone. The first question is: are you sitting or standing? Bearman decided to call 'a friend who is a cyclist.' And it turned out he was no ordinary cyclist. "His name is Tadej Pogacar, he won the Tour last year," said the 20-year-old racing driver. This name was familiar to the host as well. "Oh my god, that guy! I thought you just called a cycling buddy."

Bearman expected Pogacar to be biking. "It's time to train," the Brit reasoned. When Pogacar picks up, Bearman immediately asks the strange question: "Tadej, are you standing or sitting?" Pogacar's answer: "I'm standing! It’s a light day, I've only been on the bike for two hours."

The host then joined the conversation and told Pogacar that he would soon cycle 1,000 kilometers spread over eight days. He asked the world champion if he had any tips. Pogacar: "That should be doable. My advice is to have fun, eat plenty of carbohydrates, and drink a beer afterward."
