Embret Svestad-Bårdseng will ride for INEOS Grenadiers for the next three years. The Norwegian climber is transferring from Arkéa-B&B Hotels, which will cease operations at the end of the season.
Svestad-Bårdseng is the ninth rider from Arkéa to have found a (pro) team for 2026. Earlier, Jenthe Biermans (Cofidis), Raul Garcia Pierna (Movistar), Amaury Capiot (Jayco AlUla), Luca Mozzato (Tudor), Cristian Rodriguez (XDS Astana), Louis Rouland (Cofidis), Martin Tjøtta (Uno-X), and Kévin Vauquelin (INEOS Grenadiers) also secured contracts with professional squads.
The 23-year-old Norwegian is a rider who climbs well. In 2025, he particularly impressed at the Tour of Oman, where he finished eighth in the general classification. Svestad-Bårdseng was also one of the few riders to complete the grueling World Championships in Rwanda, finishing in 27th place.
"I want to sincerely thank Arkéa-B&B Hotels for the opportunity they gave me in the WorldTour," the Norwegian said in the team's press release. "Over the past two years, I have been able to develop immensely here. I believe INEOS will help me take an even bigger step forward, and I want to contribute to the team's successes. Hopefully, I can get a win myself one day."
