Marly Grav Race boosts chances of competing at European and World gravel championships
Participation in the 2026 European and World Gravel Championships starts with the Marly Grav Race, presented by Shimano. Participants who register now for the gravel classic in South Limburg have a chance to win a free entry for another UCI Gravel World Series qualifier of their choice. These entries are provided by Shimano.
For 39 UCI Gravel World Series races worldwide, the organization is raffling two entries per race. That means a total of 78 tickets will be distributed among the registrants. After signing up for the Marly Grav Race, participants will receive an email where they can indicate their preferred race. Then, it’s just a matter of waiting for the draw.
The condition is that participants must register for the Marly Grav Race before March 1, 2026. This year’s race takes place on Sunday, May 10, 2026. The course starting from Valkenburg has been revamped. It features familiar ‘classic’ sections from previous editions of the Marly Grav Race, as well as gravel stretches from last year’s Gravel World Championships held in South Limburg. Riders who have already registered for the Marly Grav Race will also be included in the draw and can still submit their preferred race.
This way, the organizers of the Marly Grav Race aim to help participants qualify for the 2026 European Gravel Championships in Houffalize, Belgium, and the 2026 World Gravel Championships in Nannup, Australia.
The top 25% in European races automatically qualify for the European Gravel Championships (August 30, 2026). The top 25% in worldwide races automatically qualify for the World Gravel Championships (October 10 & 11, 2026).
