Remco Evenepoel has completed his first training session since withdrawing from the Tour de France. At least, if we are to believe Strava. Evenepoel published a cycling ride on the popular training app for the first time today. The Olympic champion immediately added some motivating words.
Evenepoel rode a significant distance at a strong pace: the Belgian covered 105 kilometers from his home in Flanders with an average speed of 35.1 km/h. The motivation is clearly back for Evenepoel, who quotes rapper Werenoi: "If you only knew how much time we wasted in trying to recover it, we annoyed ourselves with many things."
Finally, Evenepoel adds 'coming back at y'all'. When Evenepoel will actually return to racing is not clear at this moment. Before his withdrawal in the Tour de France, he planned to race the World Championships in Rwanda. That world championship is still apparently on his schedule.
