Saxo Bank returns as a team sponsor in cycling

Saxo Bank returns as a team sponsor in cycling. The Danish investment bank has signed on as the main sponsor of BEAT Cycling Club, reports WielerFlits.

BEAT had been searching for a title sponsor for some time, aiming to generate an additional source of income alongside their well-known club model. They have now found that partner. The team will start the racing season next week under the new name BEAT powered by Saxo. The Danish bank will also have a prominent place on BEAT’s jersey.

Saxo Bank was a sponsor of the well-known cycling team led by Bjarne Riis in the previous decade. Riders like Andy Schleck, Alberto Contador, and Fabian Cancellara all wore the Danish bank’s logo on their jerseys.

At the end of 2015, Saxo stepped away from professional cycling. Since 2021, the Danish bank has been the title sponsor of the E3 Saxo Classic.
