Jakub Mareczko’s cycling career has come to an end. The sprinter announced his retirement at the age of 31. Mareczko made this decision after eleven seasons—during which he rode for well-known teams such as CCC and Alpecin-Deceuninck—and exactly fifty professional victories.
"It’s time to stop," the retiring Mareczko shared on Instagram. "After years of dreams, sacrifices, and intense emotions, I am closing an incredible chapter in my life. I had the privilege to race alongside the best riders, learn from them, and experience cycling at the highest level. I carry with me every climb, victory, and disappointment."
"Thanks to the people who believed in me and accompanied me on this journey: teams, teammates, fans... And a special thank you to my family, who have always supported me. My racing ends here, but the passion for cycling will never fade."
