The Trittico Regione Lombardia continues after Adam Yates' victory in the Coppa Agostoni with the Coppa Bernocchi. This race is the easiest of the Italian trilogy, and there is a good chance that a rider with a strong sprint will win. Traditionally, the organizers do not have a startlist the day before the race. Cyclingflash takes a look ahead anyway!

Who will win the Coppa Bernocchi? That’s a tough question since only a few teams have announced their starters for Italy, and the organizers traditionally release the startlist on the day of the race itself. Still, from the confirmed names, we can already identify a top favorite. That is Matthew Brennan. Brennan should be able to survive the Italian hills and, on paper, he is the fastest of them all. Can anyone beat him? The answer seems to be no.
However, competition is still expected from Movistar, Soudal Quick-Step, and Picnic PostNL. Movistar is bringing Orluis Aular to the Coppa Bernocchi, while Soudal is hoping for Luke Lamperti and Picnic for Tobias Lund Andresen. Aular especially looks like a dangerous contender. In the Vuelta, he sprinted onto the podium three times and finished in the top eight six times overall. The heavier the sprint, the better for Aular.

Many other big names have already been presented for the race; that much is true. These include Michael Matthews, who certainly has a good chance; Andrea Vendrame; as well as climbers such as Egan Bernal, Thymen Arensman, Giulio Pellizzari, and Primoz Roglic.
