Unibet Rose Rockets prepare for debut in Tour of Flanders
A new milestone for Unibet Rose Rockets: the French team with Dutch roots will be participating in the Tour of Flanders for the first time. The squad, including Dylan Groenewegen, has received a wildcard for Flanders’ Finest.
Unibet Rose Rockets has already made appearances in several prestigious spring races in recent years, but a spot in the Tour of Flanders had not been secured until now. That changes this year, as Bas Tietema’s team has an invitation to the second monument classic of the season.
Alongside Unibet Rose Rockets, Burgos-Burpellet-BH, Team Flanders-Baloise, and TotalEnergies are also confirmed to participate. Cofidis, Pinarello-Q36.5, and Tudor Pro Cycling Team were already guaranteed wildcards as the top three ProTeams of 2025.
In recent weeks, Unibet Rose Rockets has already received invitations for Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, Dwars door Vlaanderen, and La Flèche Wallonne. The team is still (anxiously or not) awaiting invitations to Milan-San Remo, Paris-Roubaix, and the Amstel Gold Race. However, a first appearance at Liège-Bastogne-Liège is definitely not planned for this year.
Wildcards for the women’s race
The wildcards for the women's event go to Cofidis, Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi, Lotto Intermarché Ladies, Mayenne Monbana My Pie, St Michel-Preference Home-Auber 93, and the Dutch VolkerWessels Cycling Team.
