After the first uphill clash, riders fight it out on the time trial bikes in the Algarve

On the slopes of the Alto da Fóia, we already saw the first skirmishes, but on Friday the GC contenders will really have to show their cards. In the individual time trial of just under twenty kilometers, hiding is no longer an option. WielerFlits looks ahead!

Course

In the sunny coastal town of Vilamoura, a time trial of just under twenty kilometers is on the agenda for Friday. This race against the clock is—unlike last year’s time trial—almost completely flat, so the powerful riders can really enjoy themselves along the Portuguese coast.

The time trial starts along the Portuguese beach, then the riders head east through the village before turning north to leave the town. In the finale, they ride around the local golf course. By then, nearly all twenty kilometers will be completed.
