The third stage of the Ruta del Sol can go any way

In the Ruta del Sol, we don’t immediately see a stage where the general classification will be turned upside down, but perhaps the third stage is the most likely to deliver some excitement among the GC contenders. Or will a different race scenario unfold? WielerFlits looks ahead!

Route

The third stage is a toss-up. Since there aren’t many opportunities for the strong climbers and punchers in this Ruta del Sol, it could well turn into a GC day. The finale lends itself to that, although the two climbs in the last forty kilometers are not the toughest.

The finish in Lopera is somewhat different. The final 250 meters rise significantly, giving an advantage to someone with a lot of power in his legs. The question is: won’t a solo rider come through here?
