AI version of Bradley Wiggins coaches cyclists

Cyclists around the world can now receive coaching from an AI chatbot version of Sir Bradley Wiggins. The 2012 Tour de France winner is one of six ‘AI mentors’ on the new platform The Coachsters. Alongside Wiggins are rower Sir Steve Redgrave, cricketer Sir Alastair Cook, and Paralympic cyclist Dame Sarah Story.

Users of the app don’t speak directly with their coach, but ask questions to the AI and receive answers based on the athletes' own experiences and lessons. Wiggins and the other mentors have given extensive interviews that have been enhanced by AI. The app is designed to provide insights into training, handling pressure, setbacks, and the mental side of sport.

"Today is a big day for me," Wiggins wrote on Instagram on Monday. "After months of work – and countless hours of in-depth interviews – I’m really proud to finally share my new coaching app. Together with the team at The Coachsters, we have captured my mindsets, experiences, and lessons that I’ve never shared publicly before. And we transformed them into something athletes can always access whenever they need it."

"This app is about the conversations I believe more athletes should be having: how to train purposefully, how to deal with pressure and expectations, how to process setbacks, and how to think clearly about performance, identity, and life in sport – not just the good days, but also the tough ones. You can ask the app any question you would personally ask me and get an answer that comes directly from my own experience."

Subscriptions
The 2012 Tour de France winner says he wants to help more athletes improve their training and mindset with the app. Subscriptions start at £5 per month (about €5.80) for the Lite version, while the Elite version costs £39 per month (about €45) and offers extra content, such as group webcasts and exclusive interviews.
