It is final: Deceuninck will no longer be the title sponsor of Alpecin-Deceuninck and Fenix-Deceuninck from 2026 onwards. Both teams announced this in a joint press release. This puts an end to the rumors that Deceuninck might continue as title sponsor for another year.
Alpecin-Deceuninck revealed earlier today that Alpecin will remain on board as title sponsor, but after four years, Deceuninck is stepping back. As was already clear at the start of 2025, the company will cease to be title sponsor. However, Deceuninck will continue to be involved as a partner for both the men's and women's teams.
What the teams led by the Roodhooft brothers will be called next year is not yet known. More information may be revealed on Friday, as the team will hold a press conference then.
Gratitude
In the press release, Team managers Christoph and Philip Roodhooft express their gratitude for Deceuninck’s support. “Today is not a farewell, but a confirmation of a new chapter. Deceuninck has played an important role in our development over the past four years, and we are very grateful for their support,” they said.
“We are glad they will remain part of our structure in the future. Moreover, the collaboration has led to a strong personal bond with Francis Van Eeckhout and his family. With Deceuninck on board, we hope to share many more memorable moments together.”
‘Not an easy decision’
Francis Van Eeckhout, CEO of Deceuninck, adds: “We look back with great pride on the past four years. As the main sponsor, we experienced many highlights and were part of a very successful team in a global sport. The partnership we have built was also very strong off the bike, characterized by genuine mutual respect.”
“Ending our role as main sponsor was not an easy decision, but at the same time, we are happy to continue our collaboration as shirt sponsor. We remain fans and loyal supporters of the team and look forward to what the future will bring.”
