Marion Norbert Riberolle won the Superprestige Ruddervoorde on Sunday ahead of Sara Casasola and Amandine Fouquenet. This means that no Dutch rider stood on the podium in this classification race. That is the first time in exactly six years.
The last time no Dutch rider stood on the podium in a women's classification race was on October 19, 2019. Back then, Italian Alice Maria Arzuffi won the Superprestige Boom ahead of her compatriot Eva Lechner and Sanne Cant. The first Dutch riders that day were Annemarie Worst, Yara Kastelijn, and Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado in fourth, fifth, and sixth place respectively.
It has been since that same race in Boom that a Superprestige race was not won by a Dutch rider. Marion Norbert Riberolle now follows Alice Maria Arzuffi as a non-Dutch winner of a Superprestige event.
