The roster for George Hincapie’s new American team has been announced. Modern Adventure Pro Cycling, which has applied for a ProTeam license, will feature several well-known names in 2026. Among them, Leo Hayter will race for the new squad.
It has long been known that Modern Adventure Pro Cycling will join the professional peloton in 2026. Former rider George Hincapie, together with his brother Richard, plays a key role in management. The brothers will be the team owners, and Hincapie Sports – the Hincapie brothers' apparel company – will be responsible for producing all the cycling kits. Joey Rosskopf, Ty Magner, and Alex Howes will serve as team directors, while Bobby Julich will take on the role of performance director.
The rider lineup has now also been released. As mentioned, Leo Hayter will be one of the riders competing for Modern Adventure Pro Cycling in 2026. The Brit has signed a one-year contract. The younger brother of Ethan Hayter raced for two and a half years with INEOS Grenadiers but decided in August 2024 to terminate his contract with the WorldTeam due to a severe depression. Last autumn, the now 24-year-old rider returned to Voster ATS, though he ultimately only rode one race for the Polish Continental team.
"I think we have a good program for him on his way back," Richard Hincapie told Cyclingnews about Hayter, who won Liège-Bastogne-Liège at the U23 level. "There’s no pressure. He can take his time to rediscover his talent. He is a rough diamond."
Stefan De Bod and Riley Pickrell
Hayter is not the only Brit at Modern Adventure Pro Cycling; Mark Stewart (joining from Solution Tech Vini Fantini) and Lucas Joseph Towers are also choosing an American adventure. Other non-American riders on the team include Samuel Florez Garces, Byron Munton, Ben Oliver, Paul Wright, Riley Pickrell (leaving Israel-Premier Tech), and the experienced Stefan De Bod. The latter has previously raced for Dimension Data, Astana, and EF Education-EasyPost. In 2024, the now 28-year-old South African competed for the Terengganu Cycling Team from Malaysia.
The remainder of the 21-rider roster consists of American riders, including Robin Carpenter (with a past at Rally Cycling), Scott McGill (multiple stage winner in the Tour of Portugal), and Tyler Stites. Stites currently still has a contract with Caja Rural-Seguros for 2026 and is awaiting release from that contract.
