German triathlete aims to cycle 24,000 kilometers in 135 days

Triathlete Jonas Deichmann has already made headlines for completing various challenges, and the German hopes to add a new chapter to his story starting this April. He will embark on a 24,000-kilometer cycling tour around Europe, covering 250,000 meters of elevation across 27 countries. The goal is to complete this in 135 days.

Deichmann previously completed the 'Triathlon Around the World.' During that feat, he completed the equivalent of 120 Ironmans and crossed 18 countries in 429 days. In 2024, he again completed 120 Ironmans in just as many days, doing it daily on the Challenge Roth course.

Classic cycling adventure
"After that 120 challenge and focusing on what is physically and mentally possible, it was always clear to me that my next project would be a classic adventure again. Europe has so much to offer. I’m looking forward to four months full of cycling experiences."

Deichmann will ride the tour on a gravel bike, averaging just under 180 kilometers per day. "This time, it’s not about the fastest possible route, but rather about small roads, mountains, and off-road trails."
