"I tried to kiss the asphalt": Demi Vollering escapes serious injury after crash in training

Demi Vollering didn’t have her best day during the team training camp in Spain. Although the day started well with a ride along beautiful roads, she crashed in the afternoon.

"The day didn’t end so well," Vollering writes on Instagram. "I tried to kiss the asphalt, but let me tell you: don’t try that yourself," she laughs about it.

In the footage she shares, a bloodied chin and hand can be seen. Otherwise, the damage for the former Tour winner of FDJ-SUEZ seems minor.
