Mads Pedersen skips In Flanders Fields
Mads Pedersen will not start In Flanders Fields on Sunday. From Middelkerke to Wevelgem. The Dane has been feeling unwell for several days.
"Hi everyone, I have bad news about the race on Sunday," he says. "I won’t be starting due to illness. I’ve had a cold the past few days. On Friday, it definitely affected me in the E3 Saxo Classic, so the medical team decided it’s best for me to skip In Flanders Fields to focus on the upcoming week."
"This has nothing to do with my wrist," he continues. "The recovery is going very well, even better than expected. Of course, my arm muscles are a bit stiff due to lack of movement over the past weeks, but that’s nothing to worry about."
With Mads Pedersen out, Lidl-Trek will now fully back Jonathan Milan in In Flanders Fields.
