Mads Pedersen has revealed his program for 2026. The Dane is targeting his two remaining career goals in 2026. The former world champion is determined to win a monument at all costs and reach Paris in the green jersey. He will get a golden opportunity next year: Lidl-Trek will take the Dane to France and leave green jersey winner Jonathan Milan at home.
Pedersen had a packed schedule in 2025 and 2026 will not be much different. The Lidl-Trek leader has set himself the goal of winning as much as possible again. The cobbled classics - Pedersen will race all the WorldTour classics between Milan-San Remo and Paris-Roubaix except the Tour of Flanders - will be the big focus in the spring.
The 29-year-old Dane 'is still chasing a monument', he made clear on Friday. After finishing third in Paris-Roubaix and second in the Tour of Flanders in 2025, 2026 has to be the year for the Dane.
The only thing changing for Pedersen in 2026 is his season opener. The Dane will start again in February at the Tour of Valencia, building up through the Tour de Provence and Paris-Nice to prepare for the classics.
