Nine WorldTeams start in Scheldeprijs, one more in the women’s race

The Scheldeprijs announced on Friday which teams will start this year in both the men's and women's races. The sprinters' classic has managed to attract nine WorldTeams to the men's start and ten WorldTeams to the women's start in Terneuzen in 2026.

In the men's race, we see that Lotto-Intermarché, Soudal Quick-Step, Lidl-Trek, Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, Team Jayco AlUla, Team Picnic PostNL, NSN Cycling Team, Bahrain Victorious, and Alpecin-Premier Tech have confirmed their participation, complemented by ProTeams such as Unibet Rose Rockets, Team Flanders Baloise, and Modern Adventure Pro Cycling. Tarteletto-Isorex and BEAT Cycling Club will make up the continental teams at the start.

Lorena Wiebes will likely be hunting for her fifth win in the Scheldeprijs among the women, which this year has been added to the Women's ProSeries. SD Worx-Protime has been announced by the organizers, alongside AG Insurance-Soudal, Lidl-Trek, Picnic PostNL, CANYON//SRAM, UAE Team ADQ, Visma | Lease a Bike, Human Powered Health, Liv-AlUla-Jayco, and Fenix-Premier Tech. Additionally, many continental teams are set to register in April for the women's race.

The Scheldeprijs is scheduled for April 8 this year and will once again finish in Schoten, Belgium. In the finale, the cobbled Broekstraat awaits, featuring multiple times in a seventeen-kilometer finishing loop.
