Picnic PostNL to miss Warren Barguil for a while after crash
The Tour des Alpes-Maritimes did not turn out as Picnic PostNL had hoped for the Dutch team. Leader Warren Barguil dropped out of the French 1.1 race due to a crash.
"Scans at the hospital have shown that Warren suffered a broken collarbone in his fall during the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes," the team announced via X.
Barguil will now be sidelined for a while; the Faun-Ardèche Classic, Faun-Drome Classic, and Strade Bianche were next on his race schedule.
