When will we see Tadej Pogacar racing again? According to the usually well-informed journalist Ciro Scognamiglio from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the UAE Emirates XRG rider is considering starting his season in March.
According to the Italian journalist, the Strade Bianche could very well be Pogacar's first race. The Slovenian has already won the race over the Tuscan gravel roads three times, including last year. This would mean he will skip the UAE Tour, important for his team, where he began and won his season this year.
Five Monuments
It is also likely that the four-time Tour de France winner will once again contest all five Monuments, just like last year. That would mean Pogacar will participate again in Paris-Roubaix, where he finished second this year as a debutant behind Mathieu van der Poel.
Only once before did Pogacar start his season as late as March. In 2024, the Strade Bianche was also his first race, which he won, by the way. In all other years, the two-time world champion began his season already in February.
