Tadej Pogacar, as the last team leader of UAE Emirates XRG, has announced his program for 2026. The Slovenian will once again aim to win Milan-San Remo and Paris-Roubaix and will also debut in two new races.
Pogacar confirmed on Saturday in Spain at his team's media day that Strade Bianche will once again be his first race of the season, just like in 2023. After that, the Slovenian will fully focus on winning Milan-San Remo, followed by the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
After Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the Slovenian has only one rest day before the Tour de Romandie. The Tour de Romandie is next on his schedule. Pogacar has never raced this event before; he will head to Switzerland at the end of April to tick this race off his checklist.
After Romandie, preparation for the Tour de France begins. On June 17, Pogacar will start the Tour de Suisse as part of his build-up to the Tour. The world champion has also never started this race before. Nothing has been announced yet regarding his program after the Tour.
