Tibor Del Grosso looks forward to Brabantse Pijl: "Hopefully, I can sprint for the win"
The participant lineup in the Brabantse Pijl 2026 leaves something to be desired. In the Belgian media, Tibor Del Grosso has been put forward as one of the biggest contenders, but he doesn’t necessarily want to go along with that himself. "What can you expect from me today? I don’t know," he tells our camera.
Last year, the 22-year-old Dutch rider from Alpecin-Premier Tech already got a taste of team leadership in this race. He finished tenth then. "Hopefully, it will be a great race again. Last year went quite well too, so I’m looking forward to it. What can you expect from me today? I don’t know. Hopefully I can stay near the front to then sprint for the win."
"There isn’t really anyone who stands out in this field," Del Grosso continues. "There are many teams to watch closely. I think it’s hard to predict. My own form is good, I think. The NXT Classic went well (which I won, editor’s note) two weeks ago. Unfortunately, I couldn’t show much in Paris-Roubaix, but I do think I’m in shape."
