The most combative rider of the second week of the 2025 Tour de France goes by the name Jordan Jegat. The Frenchman received the most votes on X, edging out contenders such as Thymen Arensman and Quinn Simmons in the poll.
Jegat had to compete not only against Simmons (who launched multiple attacks) and Arensman (stage winner on Superbagnères), but also faced competition from Bruno Armirail (very active in the stage to Hautacam), Michael Storer (frequent early escape attempts), and Jonas Abrahamsen (stage winner in Toulouse).
The poll winner, Jegat, made several notable appearances in breakaways. The 26-year-old rider attacked aggressively in the final Pyrenean mountain stage to Superbagnères and was also part of the break the following day towards Carcassonne. In that last stage, he crossed the line in eighth place.
After fifteen stages, Jegat is still well-placed in the general classification: the Frenchman currently sits eleventh, just one minute behind tenth-placed Ben Healy.. As the most combative rider of the Tour’s second week, Jegat is now also automatically one of the contenders for the Super Combativity Award, which will be presented at the end of the race in Paris.

Mathieu van der Poel is also in contention for the Super Combativity Award. The Dutchman was previously chosen as the most combative rider of the first week. The Alpecin-Deceuninck rider won a stage in the opening week of the Tour, wore the yellow jersey for four days, and thrilled cycling fans with a two-man attack alongside teammate Jonas Rickaert on the way to Châteauroux.
