Tour team time trial in Barcelona takes place only in the evening

The Tour de France has released the schedules for the stages of the 2026 edition, and something remarkable stands out: teams will start very late in the opening stage.

On Saturday, July 4, there will be a team time trial of 19.7 kilometers through the streets of Barcelona, as organizer ASO announced earlier. Now we know that the last team will not start until 18:55. The first team departs at 17:05.

Around 19:15, everyone will be back in. It will not be dark yet, so no one will be at a disadvantage. The final stage of the Tour will also be held again in the evening in Paris.

The team time trial will be even more exciting because for the first time, organizer ASO will count individual times for each rider.
