Now that the cycling season is officially over, riders enter a period of rest, but behind the scenes, cycling teams are busy preparing for the new season. There is much activity in the transfer market. Uno-X Mobility has announced a new signing, while a French rider is bidding farewell to the peloton.
Uno-X Mobility has secured the services of Anthon Charmig. The 27-year-old Dane leaves XDS Astana after two seasons and is ready for a new adventure. Although Charmig has previously ridden for manager Thor Hushovd’s team. Before moving to Astana, he already wore the Norwegian outfit’s jersey for three seasons.
Charmig spent 2021 with the development squad before making his pro debut in 2022 with the free-spirited formation. Riding for Uno-X Mobility, the puncheur also claimed his first and so far only professional win at the Tour of Oman. While with XDS Astana, he mainly rode in support of others, although he impressively finished seventh at the GP de Québec last autumn.

Where Charmig has signed for two seasons with Uno-X Mobility, we won’t see Elie Gesbert in the pro peloton anymore in 2026. The 30-year-old Frenchman has decided to stop after the collapse of Arkéa-B&B Hotels — his last team.

"It’s not an easy decision, but it’s one without doubt. I don’t see it as a failure but simply as the end of a beautiful chapter and the beginning of a new phase in my life," the Frenchman stated on Instagram. Gesbert spent his entire career with the Arkéa team and recorded two pro victories, including stage wins at the Tour du Limousin and the Volta a Portugal. In recent years, he faced several physical setbacks.
