Martijn Rasenberg is officially a rider for Unibet Rose Rockets for the next two years. On Thursday, the French ProTeam presented the arrival of the Dutchman in a brilliant way.
The 1.94-meter tall Rasenberg appears in basketball gear in the announcement video with the team. In the video, Rasenberg thinks he has signed for the NBA basketball team Houston Rockets. "I had been looking for a basketball hoop for thirty minutes," he says afterwards.
When Rasenberg then receives the Rose bike, it becomes clear that he has signed with Unibet Rose Rockets. Although the bike is still quite small: "Are you sure this one is mine?" he wonders.
Added a BIG guy to our roster. 🏀

Rasenberg has won important UCI races in recent years
WielerFlits already reported last week that Rasenberg will ride for the Rockets in 2026 and 2027. The 24-year-old rider from North Brabant joins from Parkhotel Valkenburg and signs as a neo-pro a contract for at least two years. The young talent has earned his stripes over the past two years. After winning the Ronde van de Achterhoek in 2023 and last year the Simac Omloop der Kempen (both UCI 1.2 races), he came onto the radar of teams like Visma | Lease a Bike and even did a performance test with another WorldTeam.
Despite this, a move to the pros did not materialize last winter, but this did not discourage Rasenberg. This year he won the Slag om Woensdrecht and was the best rider in the Luxembourg stage race Flèche du Sud (UCI 2.2). He also featured in the finale of several national classics, which earned him the opportunity to ride as a stagiaire with Q36.5 Pro Cycling. Rasenberg was long a contender for the final spot on the Swiss team around Tom Pidcock, until the team chose to complete their lineup with the experienced Irish sprinter Sam Bennett.
