Unibet Rose Rockets receive wildcard for Strade Bianche and Milan-San Remo, no Tirreno-Adriatico

Organizer RCS has announced which teams will participate this year in Strade Bianche, Milan-San Remo, and Tirreno-Adriatico. Unibet Rose Rockets has received a wildcard for both Strade Bianche and Milan-San Remo. The French team with Dutch roots will not take part in Tirreno-Adriatico.

In addition to the eighteen WorldTeams, Pinarello-Q36.5, Tudor, and Cofidis have secured invitations to all WorldTour races in 2025 due to their performances. While Pinarello-Q36.5 and Tudor will actually participate in Strade Bianche, Tirreno-Adriatico, and Milan-San Remo, Cofidis has chosen to decline the invitations for Strade Bianche and Tirreno-Adriatico. Earlier, the French team also announced they would not participate in the Giro d'Italia.

For Strade Bianche, organizer RCS thus still had five wildcards to distribute. These went to Bardiani CSF 7 Saber, MBH Bank Ballan CSB, Solution Tech–Nippo–Rali, Polti VisitMalta, and of course Unibet Rose Rockets. For the Rockets, this will be their debut in the Italian gravel classic. They will also be riding Milan-San Remo for the first time. The three remaining wildcards in that race went to Bardiani CSF 7 Saber, Team Novo Nordisk, and Polti VisitMalta.

No Tirreno-Adriatico for the Rockets, waiting for Giro d’Italia
Unibet Rose Rockets will not be seen in Tirreno-Adriatico. Only six ProTeams will start there. Besides Pinarello-Q36.5 and Tudor, these are Bardiani, Polti, Solution Tech, and Caja Rural, which previously also received a wildcard from organizer ASO for the Tour de France.

RCS is also the organizer of the Giro d’Italia. Which teams receive wildcards for the Giro will be announced later. According to Tuttobiciweb, this will happen next week. Unibet Rose Rockets, which did not get an invitation for the Tour de France, seems to have a good chance to debut in a Grand Tour at the Giro.
