The route for the one-day races Ardèche Classic and Drôme Classic for 2026 has been announced. What stands out is that the races continue to build on the 2025 European Championship, where Demi Vollering and Tadej Pogacar took the titles.
As usual, the Ardèche Classic and Drôme Classic will kick off the season on February 28 and March 1, 2026, respectively.
The former race seems to feature a new climb called the Mur des Royes in its route, but in fact, this is a new name for the well-known Saint Romain de Lerps. The race will now be 188 kilometers long, with an additional final lap over the Val d'Enfer, compared to 169 kilometers in 2025. According to the local organizers, this is a nod to the same last lap of the 2025 European Championship, hence the addition of the Mur de Costebelle.
As for the Drôme Classic, we see an identical finale to the 2025 race. It is the tougher of the two races, covering 189 kilometers with more elevation gain than the day before.
