Bahrain Victorious has secured four riders for longer terms. Earlier, we already reported the contract extension of Matej Mohoric, and now the team has announced that the Slovenian has signed on for two more seasons. There is also good news for Rainer Kepplinger, Fran Miholjević, and Robert Stannard.
The 31-year-old Mohoric did consider his options (including a possible return to UAE Emirates XRG, which was discussed earlier this year), but the master climber remains loyal to his current team. This was already reported on this site in September. Despite celebrating his 31st birthday in October, Mohoric will start his thirteenth pro season in 2026. He has spent all those years competing at the WorldTour level.
Racing for Bahrain Victorious, the Slovenian has achieved numerous successes. His biggest victory came in the spring of 2022, with a win at Milan-San Remo, but Mohoric has also won stages at the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Vuelta a España, the Tour of Germany, BinckBank Tour, and the Tour of Poland.
The master climber will also race next season alongside Rainer Kepplinger (28), Fran Miholjević (23), and Robert Stannard (27). These riders have also signed longer contracts. Kepplinger has extended for one season, while Miholjević and Stannard are now contracted with the Middle Eastern team through the end of 2027.
So far, Bahrain Victorious has presented five new signings: Attila Valter, Pau Miquel, Alec Segaert, Jakob Omrzel, and Alessandro Borgo. This is balanced by the departure of seven riders: Niccolò Buratti, Jack Haig, Andrea Pasqualon, Torstein Træen, Sergio Tru, Finlay Pickering, and Fred Wright. The roster for 2026 now consists of 28 riders.
