Insufficient resin
The German bike manufacturer explains the situation with the Agree C:62 bikes in a press release. “Several reports have been received of cracks above the brake mount on carbon front forks of the Agree C:62. Investigation revealed that a change in the resin material in the 2025 model year has led to a limited number of forks having insufficient resin in this area.”
“As a result, the fork does not meet our quality standards under high braking loads. Excessive braking force can cause the outer carbon layers to delaminate. This can cause cracking and severely weaken the fork, potentially leading to failure of the left fork leg. This increases the risk of an accident.”
Customers who own such a bike should immediately stop using it until the fork has been inspected and replaced. For safety reasons, every fork affected by this recall will be replaced proactively. Customers can check whether their bike is affected by entering the frame number — the WOW number — at www.cube.eu/recall-agree.
Replacement forks
The frame number is required for the inspection. Additionally, the fork’s serial number must be checked to determine if replacement is necessary. This serial number is on the steerer tube and is only visible after partially disassembling the headset. The inspection, replacement, and handling will be carried out through an authorized CUBE dealer.
CUBE is working hard to deliver replacement forks. The first batches are expected in early February 2026. Further batches will follow in smaller, regular shipments until the recall is fully completed.
