On Thursday afternoon in Berchem, Crelan-Corendon unveiled its cyclocross team for the upcoming season, with the project's stability standing out in particular. Not only was it announced that main sponsor Crelan will remain with the team until the end of 2027, but riders Witse Meeussen and Emiel Verstrynge have also extended their contracts with the team managed by the Roodhooft brothers.
In addition to the Belgian bank, second title sponsor Corendon, Alé, Fristads, Stevens Bikes, Gregoor, and DT Swiss will also continue their involvement with the team. Helmet and eyewear supplier Ekoï is new this season. The jersey combines recognizability with fresh accents and will be worn by all the team's riders at the Belgian season opener in Meulebeke next Saturday.
Sporting-wise, operations manager Thomas Sneyers had one key priority: "Keeping our core together," he said at the team presentation. That’s why Witse Meeussen, winner of the Kleeberg Cross a few weeks ago, already extended his contract for another two years. Emiel Verstrynge also remains with the team despite his rising road career.

For the upcoming cyclocross season, the team mainly aims to match last winter’s performance. "Back then, our young male and female riders proved they can compete at the top level. That’s the foundation we’re building on now," Sneyers said. He’s referring to an impressive total of 65 podium finishes, including 14 victories in televised races.
"No other team manages to win with so many different riders. That’s remarkable, especially considering the growing involvement of WorldTour teams increasingly investing in cyclocross. We also succeeded in retaining the Belgian women’s national champion within our ranks, which was a key objective. After 15 titles by Sanne Cant, Marion Norbert Riberolle took over the mantle earlier this year."
The team management recognizes that matching those results will be a tough challenge, but the ambition remains high. Youngsters like Emiel Verstrynge and Joran Wyseure have already proven their talent, while on the women's side, Sara Casasola and Inge van der Heijden have tasted victory. "Our strength this year again lies in our depth," says Sneyers. "If a team leader has an off day, the others must be able to step up. That way, we keep a strong squad throughout the season."
