Daan Hoole has announced his program for 2026. The 26-year-old Dutchman is expected to make his debut in the Tour de France. It is also notable that Hoole will face a busy spring right from the start.
The rider from the South will start his season in February in the United Arab Emirates, followed by Paris-Nice. Then the classics season begins for the new recruit at Decathlon CMA CGM. In March, Hoole will race in the GP de Denain, then progress through the Bruges Classic, Gent-Wevelgem, and Dwars door Vlaanderen, building up to the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.
After that, the spring classics will be over for the Dutchman, and he can shift focus to preparing for the Tour de France, where he is expected to assist Kooij in securing a stage win. In the lead-up to the Tour, Hoole will compete in the Brussels Cycling Classic and the Tour of Belgium. It is also confirmed that he will defend his Dutch national time trial title.
The Tour de France will be the sixth Grand Tour in Hoole’s career. Previously, he raced the Giro d’Italia three times and the Vuelta a España twice. His biggest success came in 2025 when he won the time trial to Pisa in the Giro.
Later this week, an extensive interview with Daan Hoole will follow, discussing his spring goals, his transfer to Decathlon CMA CGM, and his Tour debut.
