Discount retailer Lidl surprises with €4,000 e-bike
Supermarket chain Lidl is known as a price fighter, but you can definitely also find premium products there. Like the SUV Stack 5.0. This new electric mountain bike costs as much as 3,999.95 euros.
Lidl already sold a regular e-bike for 2,600 euros, but now the supermarket chain is also bringing a sporty e-bike in the higher segment to the market. The SUV Stack 5.0 features a 48 Volt AEG Sport Drive II mid-motor (250 Watts) with 100 Nm torque and a 720 watt-hour battery. The range? 220 kilometers at temperatures between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius. The aluminum MTB weighs 23 kilograms, has ten gears, and is equipped with Shimano Deore components.
The SUV Stack 5.0 is suitable for rides over rough terrain. This is partly due to the Suntour Edge air shock in the rear frame, a Suntour XCM suspension fork at the front, and an air-sprung seat post from Limotec. The front light outputs 120/100 lux (LED) and can also shine on high beam, while the rear light features a brake light function. Other key features: the bike has 29-inch wheels, a frame height of 33 centimeters, and is equipped with a luggage rack.
