The new cycling season is now approaching rapidly. Many teams are currently staying in sunny locations to prepare for the upcoming race year. This includes Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe and their new team leader Remco Evenepoel. The Belgian was spotted today with his Olympic bike – featuring the necessary golden accents.
For the time being, Evenepoel is still logging his training kilometers in the Soudal Quick-Step kit. This is due to contractual obligations. Riders typically sign contracts that run until December 31. Until that date, they officially still represent their old team, even though they no longer race for them and have already signed with their new team.
This means that in terms of clothing, equipment, and other sponsor displays, they formally belong to the old team until the end of the year. Only from January 1 of the new year are riders allowed to appear in public with their new gear. However, it is often (tacitly) permitted to train with the new equipment in the weeks leading up to that date, so they can get used to the bike, saddle, and other components.
This also applies to Evenepoel. The Belgian is already training on the bike he will race on in 2026 for Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe. The S-Works (a model from the American bike brand Specialized) is adorned with the necessary golden accents and tones. These obviously refer to his Olympic titles won in Paris. We can even see a golden chain and cassette.

With his former team Soudal Quick-Step, Evenepoel used Shimano groupsets – brake levers, derailleurs, and brake discs. However, his new employer has a partnership with rival brand SRAM.
