Ewen Costiou has signed a two-year contract with Groupama-FDJ United. The 22-year-old Frenchman spent the past three seasons under contract with Arkea-B&B Hotels, but the team will cease to exist at the end of this season.
This season, Costiou claimed the overall victory at the Tour du Limousin riding for Arkea-B&B Hotels, where he has held a professional contract since 2023. At the end of 2022, he raced as a stagiaire for the team.
End of the road for Arkea-B&B Hotels
The French team Arkea-B&B Hotels will fold at the end of this season. The sponsorship contracts of both title sponsors were not renewed, and no replacements were found in time. The team also did not submit a license application to the UCI for the upcoming season.
This means that many riders from the team are looking for new squads or have already found new teams. For example, team leader Kévin Vauquelin will race next year for INEOS Grenadiers.
