Alpecin-Premier Tech presents spring programs for Tibor Del Grosso and Kaden Groves
Alpecin-Premier Tech has unveiled the spring program for Tibor Del Grosso. As is well known, the 22-year-old Dutch rider kicks off on Saturday with Strade Bianche. After that, he will ride Tirreno-Adriatico, the E3 Saxo Classic, and the Amstel Gold Race, among others. The programs for Emiel Verstrynge and Kaden Groves have also been released.
Del Grosso will start in Italy, first with Strade Bianche (March 7) and then Tirreno-Adriatico (March 9-15). In the Race of the Two Seas, he will start alongside Mathieu van der Poel. Following that, Del Grosso heads to France, where on Thursday, March 19, he will contest the mini-version of Paris-Roubaix: the Grand Prix de Denain.
E3 Saxo Classic
Just over a week later, on Friday, March 27, Del Grosso races for the first time on Flemish roads. He will line up at the start of the E3 Saxo Classic, again together with Van der Poel. Van der Poel will not participate in Dwars door Vlaanderen (April 1), so Del Grosso might have his own opportunities there. He already finished sixth in this semi-classic in 2025. This year, he will also aim for a strong result in the NXT Classic (April 4).
Del Grosso concludes his spring campaign with three races in quick succession. Within five days, he will compete in the Ronde van Limburg, Brabantse Pijl, and Amstel Gold Race. He rode the Ronde van Limburg (30th) and Brabantse Pijl (10th) last year and will make his debut in the Amstel Gold Race this season.
Programs for Verstrynge and Groves
Alpecin-Premier Tech has not only revealed Del Grosso's schedule but also those of Emiel Verstrynge and Kaden Groves. Verstrynge is focusing on the hilly races. Like Del Grosso, he starts with Strade Bianche and Tirreno-Adriatico, after which he will stay in Italy for Milan-San Remo. With Mathieu van der Poel on the team, Alpecin-Premier Tech has the defending champion for that race.
After two weeks without racing, Verstrynge will make his comeback at the Tour of the Basque Country (April 6-11). He uses this WorldTour stage race as preparation for the Amstel Gold Race (April 19) and Liège-Bastogne-Liège (April 26). Last year, the Belgian already finished fourteenth in LBL.
Groves has already competed in the Volta ao Algarve, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne. He continues his season with Tirreno-Adriatico and Milan-San Remo. Afterwards, we will see him in In Flanders Fields. From Middelkerke to Wevelgem (the new name for Gent-Wevelgem), Dwars door Vlaanderen, the Tour of Flanders, and Paris-Roubaix.
