Giro helmet tested by Van Aert and Vingegaard nearly available for consumers

Giro Sport Design has launched the Eclipse Pro, a new aero racing helmet designed for both professional and recreational use. With this helmet, developed in Giro’s wind tunnel and R&D lab, the brand aims to combine aerodynamics with ventilation and safety.

The Eclipse Pro offers extra protection during crashes, even under twisting or rotational forces, Giro states. In addition, the helmet features an adjustable fit system for enhanced stability and comfort. The aerodynamic shape is the result of CFD modeling, clay prototypes, and wind tunnel testing. Internal air channels provide ventilation without compromising aerodynamics. The helmet weighs 280 grams (size M).

At Visma | Lease a Bike, big names like Wout van Aert, Jonas Vingegaard, and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot have already tested the helmet in races and training rides. From Sunday, February 15th, the Eclipse Pro will also be available to consumers.
