Jack Haig is currently without a team for 2026, but the 32-year-old rider will soon sign a contract with INEOS Grenadiers. This was reported by Irish cycling journalist Daniel Benson on his own website.
Haig has raced for Bahrain Victorious over the past five seasons but will no longer be on the payroll of the Middle Eastern team for next season. We mainly know the Australian as a stage racer who has collected plenty of impressive credentials over the years.
In the early years of his career—while riding for Mitchelton-Scott—he seemed to be developing into a top GC contender. Podium finishes followed in the Tour of Valencia (2nd overall), Ruta del Sol (also 2nd), and the Tour of the Alps (3rd), along with a top 5 in Paris-Nice (4th in the 2019 edition).

Overall Podium in the Vuelta
His biggest breakthrough came at the 2021 Vuelta a España. Haig finished—then representing Bahrain Victorious—on the final podium of the three-week race, behind overall winner Primož Roglič and Enric Mas.
In the following seasons, Haig was unable to meet the expectations set, partly due to several severe crashes and physical setbacks. As a result, he gradually slipped down the pecking order at Bahrain Victorious and spent the last two seasons primarily working in support of others.
The experienced climber now appears set to continue his career with INEOS Grenadiers, which currently has only 22 riders under contract for 2026. The once highly successful British outfit has already strengthened its roster with the Frenchmen Kévin Vauquelin and Dorian Godon, the young Dane Theodor Storm, and the late-blooming Norwegian Embret Svestad-Bårdseng.
