There has been a lot of talk and writing about Israel Premier-Tech in recent weeks, but the team for 2026 is now taking shape. On Friday, the team announced no fewer than four contract extensions. George Bennett is one of those four riders.
The 35-year-old New Zealander, who previously spent seven seasons with Jumbo-Visma, has extended for at least another year. Bennett has hardly posted any results himself in recent years, but he is retained for his "invaluable leadership experience."
The same can be said about the other three extensions. They are Guillaume Boivin (2026), Hugo Hofstetter (2027), and Nick Schultz (2028). The contract of the 31-year-old Schultz has thus been extended by three years, at the team that last week announced it would drop the Israeli identity in 2026.
