Lance Armstrong is a man of many talents. The much-discussed American transitioned from his career as a cyclist into various fields including the media industry; he has had his own podcast for years, and in the new year, Armstrong will also be heard as a voice-over in a documentary about the American brand Schwinn Bicycles.
The now 54-year-old Armstrong – who was banned for life after a doping confession, stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, and declared persona non grata – has narrated a documentary about the history of the legendary American bicycle brand.
The documentary, titled No Hands: The Wild Ride of the Schwinn Bicycle Company, will tell the complete story of the company. It covers the period from its founding at the end of the 19th century through to its eventual bankruptcy in the 1990s.
Use of AI
What makes the documentary so special is its use of AI-enhanced visual storytelling to bring the Schwinn Bicycles story to life even more vividly. The creators gained access to previously unreleased archive footage and material from private collections.
"My first bike was a Schwinn Mag Scrambler, which was the beginning for me. I've always been curious about Schwinn and its history. This documentary captures the essence of the iconic brand in a truly compelling way," Armstrong said in a press statement. No Hands is set to premiere in early 2026 at various film festivals.
