Anna van Wersch has extended her contract with Lotto Ladies by one year. This means that from next season, the Dutch rider will take the step up to ProTour level together with her team. The Belgian squad already expressed ambitions to move up when announcing the new level for 2024, and this will happen in 2026.
The 24-year-old Van Wersch is one of the top riders within the (currently) continental team. Together with teammate Katrijn De Clercq, she secured a one-two finish at the Grote Prijs CHW Beveren.
The Dutch time trial specialist has been racing for Lotto Ladies for two years and has signed a one-year contract extension. "I never doubted renewing. The team offers me an environment in which I make progress every year. We work very professionally, and the atmosphere within the group is simply great. That gives me a lot of confidence as I enter the next phase," Van Wersch commented.
"It's great to see how we continue to grow as a team, and I’m proud to remain a part of that. I’m really looking forward to making further progress next season and expanding my role," said the rider from Nootdorp, referring to her and her team’s development.
