Nabico launches 4.5 mm thick handlebar tape for gravel riding

A handlebar tape with a thickness of 4.5 millimeters is not an everyday sight. Yet that is exactly what Nabico introduces with the new Roubaix Double, a handlebar tape that is about twice as thick as a traditional variant. The product is specifically designed for gravel and other unpaved surfaces, where extra cushioning is desired.

According to Nabico, the Roubaix Double is engineered to effectively absorb vibrations and shocks. To achieve this, the brand uses a special PVC composition with an anti-vibration formula. This should reduce the strain on hands and arms and contribute to better control on rough terrain. The dotted finish of the tape is designed to provide sufficient grip, even in wet or dusty conditions.

Each set consists of two rolls of handlebar tape, each two meters long, new Nabico bar plugs with expanders, and matte black elastic finishing strips. The Roubaix Double is available in a version with a contrasting Nabico logo (in violet or white) for a recommended retail price of €34.50. Additionally, there is a completely black version without graphics, priced at €27.50.
