There was no movement for a long time at Picnic PostNL, but the Dutch team is now actively working to get its roster in order for the upcoming seasons. Today, the team announced that four riders already racing for the squad will remain on board for longer. These are Warren Barguil, Chris Hamilton, Gijs Leemreize, and Tim Naberman.
"As experienced road captains and riders with a wealth of experience in the pro peloton, Team Picnic PostNL is pleased to announce the contract extensions of Warren Barguil, Chris Hamilton, Gijs Leemreize, and Tim Naberman," reads the team website. Barguil (33), Leemreize (25), and Naberman (26) are now secured until the end of 2027, while Hamilton (30) has extended his contract even further until the end of 2028.
About Barguil, head coach Rudi Kemna has the following to share: "Since his return to the team, Warren has delivered exactly what we hoped for, and even more. He has once again proven to be a real asset. We are therefore happy that he will stay with us for another year. His experience, professionalism, and drive make a big difference, both on and off the bike."
"Warren understands that top-level sport is more than just riding hard: it’s also about leadership, passing on knowledge, and bringing energy to the group. He is a great mentor for our young riders and lifts the whole team to a higher level."

Kemna also praises Hamilton for his experience. "We are very happy to continue working with Chris. He knows our culture inside and out and actively strengthens it. He brings calm, experience, and reliability—the exact qualities a successful team needs. At the same time, we still see room for growth. Chris continues to challenge himself physically and wants to keep pushing his limits. He is a stable factor you can build on."
About 'team rider' Leemreize and 'leader' Naberman
The former rider is also very enthusiastic about the two Dutchmen—Leemreize and Naberman. "In his first two seasons with us, Gijs has grown into a smart, strong team rider with excellent race insight. He reads races well and makes thoughtful tactical decisions. He is already an important link in the team, but we believe he can still take further steps in his own performance."
"Tim has taken important steps over the past seasons, both as a rider and in his role as road captain. With his experience in Grand Tours, he has developed into a stable and reliable force within the team. His influence, on and off the bike, continues to grow. He is a true leader, someone who can read the race, remain composed, and keep the team together when it really counts. We are therefore very happy to continue with Tim."
Picnic PostNL also recently announced the arrival of three new names, including Britons James Knox and Oliver Peace, and Irishman Dillon Corkery. Knox signs for one season, while Peace and Corkery are signed through the end of 2027. The 21-year-old Frenchman Alexy Faure Prost (currently with Intermarché-Wanty) is also linked with the team of manager Iwan Spekenbrink.
