Several World and ProTeams sprang into action after the announced exit of Premier Tech from Israel Premier-Tech to try to secure the Canadian company, but Premier Tech has now committed to St Michel-Preference Home-Auber 93. The company will join as the title sponsor for the women's and men's squads for the next two seasons.
That Premier Tech ended up with the rather modest St Michel-Preference Home-Auber 93 is not so surprising, given that the French women’s team has three Canadians under contract for 2026: Alison Jackson, Clara Emond, and Simone Boilard.
When Premier-Tech announced its departure from Israel Premier-Tech, the company made it clear: “Supporting the growth of the sport, along with developing cyclists from Canada and Québec, is our driving force and will remain so in the future."
The agreement is now finalized. “The partnership with Premier Tech is a milestone for our team,” deputy director Charlie Nerzic stated on social media. “The global Canadian company is also committed to developing cycling in all forms. We share a common vision: an inclusive and integrated cycling ecosystem, driven by talent diversity.”
No name change
“This opportunity fully aligns with the reasons Premier Tech has been committed to cycling for over thirty years: building bridges across all levels of the sport and supporting the development of cyclists from Quebec and Canada,” said Jean Bélanger, President and Chief Executive Officer of Premier Tech.
Starting next year, Premier Tech will appear on the kits of the professional men’s (Continental status) and women’s teams (ProTeam), as well as on the cycling outfits of the club riders in all categories. The name of the various cycling squads will remain unchanged in 2026: St Michel-Preference Home-Auber 93.
