Primož Roglič started the Milan-San Remo in 2017 and 2022 but hasn't been seen in the Italian classic in recent years. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, this is set to change, as the Slovenian is expected to participate again in 'La Primavera' this year.
The question is what we can expect from the now 36-year-old rider of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, as he made little impact in his first two editions. In his debut in 2017, he finished 67th, and five years later he did better but could only secure seventeenth place in the final results.
The exact details of Roglič’s program remain unknown. At a press conference of his team Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, he did confirm that he will race Tirreno-Adriatico and the Tour of the Basque Country this year. Roglič already won the Italian stage race in 2019 and 2023, while he added the Basque Country to his palmares in 2018 and 2021.
The stage racer will not participate in the Giro d’Italia or Tour de France in his final contract year with the team but will focus on the Vuelta a España. Roglič has already won the Vuelta in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2024, and in 2026 he will go all out for his fifth overall victory.
