Unibet Rose Rockets receives another wildcard for Paris-Roubaix
For the second year in a row, Unibet Rose Rockets can look forward to Paris-Roubaix. For the 2026 edition, the French ProTeam led by Bas Tietema, Josse Wester, and Devin van der Wiel has received a wildcard. Flanders-Baloise, Modern Adventure Pro Cycling – George Hincapie’s new team – and TotalEnergies also received wildcards, alongside the three teams with guaranteed entries.
With eighteen WorldTeams, the guaranteed wildcards for Tudor Pro Cycling, Pinarello-Q36.5, and Cofidis, plus the four ProTeams mentioned above that received invites from the ASO, the men’s start list totals 25 teams. Compared to last year, Flanders-Baloise and Modern Adventure Pro Cycling are new additions. Relative to the 2025 edition, Lotto and Intermarché-Wanty have merged., while Arkéa-B&B Hotels has disappeared.
For Unibet Tietema Cycling Team, the invite to Paris-Roubaix rounds out a particularly strong program. Apart from Liège-Bastogne-Liège (despite the presence of former winner Wout Poels), they will ride all three other Monuments this spring. Earlier, they also received invitations to Milan-San Remo and the Tour of Flanders. Additionally, Tietema and his team secured invites to Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Strade Bianche, the Amstel Gold Race, and La Flèche Wallonne.
Last season, the French ProTeam with Dutch roots had their baptism of fire in the Hell of the North at a cycling monument. They weren’t able to make a significant impact then. Axel Huens (who has since moved to Groupama-FDJ United) was their best rider in the results, finishing 27th—almost six minutes behind winner Mathieu van der Poel. Which riders will be selected for this edition is currently unknown.
