Puck Pieterse and Tibor Del Grosso film joint course preview for world cyclocross championships in Hulst

The Cyclocross World Championships are about to begin: the championships start on Friday with the Mixed Relay. It’s high time to scout the course! Puck Pieterse and Tibor Del Grosso did just that together. On YouTube, they each share a video of their joint course reconnaissance via their own accounts.

Del Grosso will already be racing on the course in Hulst on Friday. He is part of the Dutch squad for the Mixed Relay. On Sunday, he will also start in the elite men’s championship. A world title seems out of reach for the Dutch champion, especially with Mathieu van der Poel also competing, but Del Grosso is considered one of the main contenders for the silver medal.

Pieterse still has one more night to sleep before she can race on the course with a race number on her back. The elite women’s race is scheduled for Saturday. She shares top favorite status with her compatriots Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado and Lucinda Brand. Last weekend, Pieterse showed she’s in excellent form by winning both the World Cup races in Maasmechelen and Hoogerheide.
