Rabobank expands its partnership with TeamNL and will become, alongside Staatsloterij, the main sponsor of TeamNL, TeamNL Paralympic, and TeamNL Talent starting January 1, 2027. This five-year deal – running at least through the 2032 Paralympic Summer Games in Brisbane – involves nearly 50 million euros.
Stefaan Decraene, chairman of Rabobank’s group executive board, is very pleased with this new agreement. “Rabobank has helped encourage all of the Netherlands to get active through initiatives like Rabo ClubSupport for decades,” he said on the NOC*NSF website. “Sports are good for health and thus for society. As a socially committed bank, we are happy to contribute to that.”
“Moreover, the sporting successes of our TeamNL heroes inspire people to start exercising themselves. As the new main sponsor, we will now work together with Staatsloterij to further grow Dutch sport, and in doing so, we all win.”
NOC*NSF emphasizes the importance of the partnership. Marc van den Tweel, general director of NOC*NSF, describes it as follows: “We know Rabobank as a highly engaged partner in grassroots sports. This new investment in elite sports and the development of national talent is fantastic news.”
“With Rabobank and Staatsloterij as main sponsors, TeamNL has two strong partners that are demonstrably well rooted in the Dutch sports landscape.”
Increasingly visible
Rabobank is becoming increasingly visible again in Dutch cycling. The bank had already decided to once more embrace the Rabo Dikke Banden Race. Last summer, Rabobank also appeared as a co-sponsor on the jersey of WorldTour team Visma | Lease a Bike.
The company also recently announced it is the new ‘presenting partner’/main sponsor of the 2026 Cyclocross World Championships, which will take place from January 30 to February 1 in Hulst, Zeeland. Starting in 2027, Rabobank’s main sponsorship of TeamNL, TeamNL Paralympic, and TeamNL Talent will be added, further expanding Rabobank’s position as a major sports sponsor in the Netherlands.
