HTC-Columbia's 2009 victory record (85 wins) has already been shattered, but UAE Emirates XRG could still break the historic milestone of 100 pro wins in a single season this year. However, everything will have to go their way in the final three races of 2025.
Adam Yates won the Italian 1.1 race Trofeo Tessile & Moda-Valdengo Oropa on Sunday, bringing UAE Emirates XRG's season win tally to 94. No other team has ever done better, but the star-studded squad hopes to raise the bar even further this week.
Eight chances left
Mathematically, the team still has a shot at the historic 100-win mark. There are three races left where the team can score, with the Italian one-day races Giro del Veneto (October 15) and Veneto Classic (October 19), and the six-day Gree-Tour of Guangxi (October 14-19). In other words, there are still eight opportunities in the coming days.
At the Tour of Guangxi, UAE Emirates XRG will field a strong squad on paper, featuring puncheurs Jan Christen and Jhonathan Narváez, and the certainly speedy Ivo Oliveira as (potential) key riders. The line-ups for the Giro del Veneto and Veneto Classic have not yet been announced.
For clarity: national and international titles are not counted. The world and European championships won by Tadej Pogacar and the gravel world title of Florian Vermeersch, for example, are not considered UAE wins since these achievements were earned while representing the national team.
